Don't Miss this Viewing of THE SHERIFF (Noncompliant 2)

A Film by the Liberty First Society

This is a timely story of Faith, Courage, and Commitment.  The film gives some historical background to the office of the Sheriff and gives two modern case studies for greater understanding.  It highlights the dangers of tyrannical government and the Sheriff's role as the defender of the rights of the people.

The office of Sheriff began in ancient England.  In A.D. c. 450, Hengist and Horsa introduced Common Law into England.  This law was based on Bible paraphrases (see Deuteronomy 1:9-18, link below).  England was divided into seven Kingdoms with Kings elected by the people.  These Kingdoms were divided into Shires (Counties) and further divided into Hundreds (Precincts).  Alfred the Great (849 - 899) introduced the office of Shire Reeve (Sheriff) to enforce English Common Law over the Danelaw of the invading Vikings in each Shire.  In 1066, William the Conqueror became the sole ruler of England and introduced Norman Law, but he kept some of England's traditions.  John Lackland became the evil ruler of England, which included killing his brother King Richard the Lionhearted and using Sheriffs as tools of tyranny.  John's evil rule led to a revolt and the 1215 Magna Carta.  The Magna Carta put the King under the Law, and also gave us: Trial by Jury, Oath of Office, etc.  The Sheriff is specifically mentioned in the Preamble and in Articles: 4, 24, 26, 30, 45, 48, and is alluded to in Article 61.  Sheriffs are to protect the People, seek fairness, and enforce the Law.

Get to Know the Great C. S. Lewis - Join Us to Watch "The Most Reluctant Convert"

Many of you have read C. S. Lewis' books: "Mere Christianity," "The Screwtape Letters," "The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe" (book 2 of the "Chronicles of Narnia"), and/or others; but what do you know about C. S. Lewis himself?  The film "The Most Reluctant Convert" by the Fellowship for Performing Arts tells the untold story of C. S. Lewis.  The film presents Lewis' own Words from his autobiography "Surprised by Joy."  It is filmed on location at Lewis' boyhood home in Dublin, Ireland, at the house of his tutor in Sussex, England, at Oxford University, at his favorite pub, at his home at Oxford, and at Lewis' church.  As C. S. Lewis tells his own story where each event happened and as he leads you from one world to another in Narnian style, you will meet some interesting people like: his father, the Great Knock, J. R. R. Tolkien ("The Lord of the Rings"), immortals, and even God ("Holy Bible").  Maybe you will be surprised by joy, too.  The film is 74 minutes and appropriate for children over 13.

Movie Night: "The 1916 Project"

"The 1916 Project," is a powerful documentary that uncovers the disturbing legacy of Margaret Sanger, the founder of Planned Parenthood and her deep ties to the eugenics movement (a dark harmful pseudoscientific belief aimed at "improving" humanity by controlling who could reproduce. This ideology targeted marginalized groups - especially people of color, the poor, and those with disabilities - justifying horrific policies like forced sterilizations and treating human lives as disposable).

Through compelling historic research and expert analysis, the film reveals how Sanger's racist and elitist ideologies have shaped the modern cultural landscape. From the promotion of abortion to the breakdown of family structures and the rise of gender confusion, "The 1916 Project" exposes the enduring impact of her influence, particularly on communities of color. The film serves as a call to action for those seeking to understand the origin of America's moral decline and the forces at play in today's culture war.

Please invite your pastors and church members who want to reclaim America's core values of Faith, Family, and Freedom.

Topic: FROM COMMUNISM TO FREEDOM

Speaker: Ming Z. Scheer
Born in Shanghai, China in 1966
Graduated from the University of Shanghai
Endured a difficult life in communist China
The mother, brother, sister, and Ming sacrificed everything to legally immigrate to the United States in 1987 – San Francisco, CA
Embraced U.S. freedom, while continuing a difficult transition to a new country
Doug met Ming at the gym in San Francisco in October of 2008 – later to marry in 2013
In 2015 – Ming was attracted to the Republican party because of Donald J. Trump – Trump opposes all forms of socialism and communism
Ming served as the Chairman for the U.S. association of “Chinese Americans for Trump”
The association sponsored rallies in the largest 26 U.S. cities on 11/3/2016 to get the Chinese American’s to vote for Donald Trump (HUSE Gatherings)
Ming was invited and attended the Donald J. Trump Inauguration on January 20, 2017
Ming has a unique story for the sacrifice that she and her family endured to gain their freedom. It was a difficult life under communism in the late 1960’s and 1970’s. Ming’s mother knew America represented freedom and a better life for her children. The family had to sacrifice everything to legally immigrate to the United States.

Ming’s father was a surgeon with limited money. For her father to come to the U.S., his medical license would not be accepted, and he would have to go back to medical school. Without any money, and not speaking English, immigration was not an option for her dad. Ming’s parents divorced so the family (Mother, brother, and sister) could come to the U.S.

Life was difficult in the U.S., but the family embraced the culture, and they are now living the American dream. Donald Trump and the Republican party represent and support the values and freedoms that Ming and her family sacrificed so much in their lives to obtain.

Topic: Crisis of Truth.

In modern America, with all sides claiming “misinformation” and many of the loudest voices exclaim “I have to speak my truth” #MyTruth, wouldn’t it be nice if one could actually discern “WHAT IS TRUE” in the first place?

Movie night: "Letter to the American Church"

"Letter to the American Church" by Eric Metaxas and Turning Point USA reveals the haunting similarities between today's American Church and the German Church of 1930.  If the German Church had heeded the warnings, World War 2 might not have happened?  They might have stopped it.  If the American Church does not heed the warnings, what might happen to us?  This is a 1:01 hour movie, and we will follow with discussion.
