GET INFORMED AND GET OUT TO VOTE

On Tuesday, June 25 we have a Statewide Special Primary Election for two of the seats on the five-person GA Public Service Commission. 

The PSC is important because it is the only entity with oversight of GA utility companies and so determines what these companies charge customers for their electric bills and how they source our energy (i.e. solar, natural gas plants, coal power, batteries, hydropower).

The challenged seats are both held by Republican incumbents: Tim Echols of District 2 and Fitz Johnson of District 3. Republican Lee Muns is also running for the District 2 seat. There will be Democrat challengers for both seats in November, so your vote is important. Every GA voter can vote for both open seats, so it is critical that Republicans get out to support our candidates.

Imagine if the Democrats take control of the Public Service Commission! Your electricity and gas prices would go up more, so be sure to put these dates on your calendar.

May 27: Advance Voting Begins, 9:00 - 5:00

June 13: Last Day of Advance Voting

June 17: Primary Election Day at your regular polling place

Nov 4: General Election

Remember: All registered GA voters can vote for both positions no matter where they live, so be sure to go to the polls and vote.
